This is the first Arts and Science college in the Union Territory of Puducherry that has established a Placement Cell in the year 2001.
Every year more than 200 students of this institution get themselves placed in suitable jobs through the Placement Cell.

25 of our students from various discipline are placed as Web Developer (Intern) for Search Engine Optimization - a recurring project of Puducherry based LI Creative Technologies. Credit to placement officer Mrs. Sripriya of Computer Sc. Dept who was coordinating the process.

A mega Placement drive was conducted at Bharathidasan Govt. College for Women, Puducherry on 31/03/2017 for the final year Arts & Science Students. Five Companies viz., Accentures, AirTel, PayTM, Microland & BankZone participated in the drive. It was organized by Tattvika Praja & Databox Solutions, Bengaluru..
College Principal Dr. P.Poongavanam presided over the function. The drive was coordinated by the Placement Officer Mrs. A Saipriya. Two rounds of interview are conducted and 26 students were selected by AirTel, and 17 students were selected by BankZone.
Value based trainings & motivational classes
The placement cell trains and prepare the students throughout the year to face the future interviews with courage and confident. Hence all the programs of placement cell starts with value based trainings and motivational courses every year through an apt team of felicitators. Communication skill development program
Communication skill development is a main source for any student to get placement and recognition nowadays. Hence we conduct regular English coaching courses through the reputed agencies like ICTACT & LSE Group. The course materials are given to 75 students for free of cost and certificates also distributed after the course completion.

Employability skill development programme (E-Literacy & English coaching) This is the course specially designed for non IT background students. (around 60 students taken part) Additionally English coaching also included in this 30 days duration course. The Govt. of Puducherry permitted ICTACT to handle the classes inside the campus.
Learn & Earn
Earning while learning is a special scheme provided by our placement cell for the economically backward students every year. The identified students (15 Nos) were given technical trainings like Handicrafts production & ornaments design trainings last academic year.
Cell phone Training Course Free
Cell Phone training course is also a valuable contribution of our placement cell to the needy students. Around 25 students are selected to attend the above course .
Campus Interview
Campus interview is the final destination of our placement cell every year. The trained students will attend the campus interview with full confidence and come out with successful offers. Nearly 350- 450 students are getting job through our 2 days Mega campus interview every year. The Leading companies from Chennai, Bangalore and Pondicherry use to visit our campus regularly to recruit our students. We are allocating the first day for the current students and 2nd day for the alumni students of this college.
